Customer Testimonials

Happy Pets, Happy Home!

After only a few weeks of one-on-one training with Jeanne, my 10-year-old Loki has morphed from being a dog I cannot take out in public ANYWHERE to a dog I can happily walk in a park with lots of things that used to cause him to bark like he wanted to kill something and lunge on the leash so bad I could barely hold him back (like kids riding bikes and other dogs walking calmly with their owners, let alone barking dogs or people running!). Jeanne’s lessons have trained not only my dog but also me how to appropriately respond to help Loki to have a positive experience. I never thought I’d walk him in public again. I am so grateful to Jeanne and for her experience and knowledge!

Walk & Train Client

Jeanne and her crew of critter caretakers make leaving my pet behind much easier. They give me peace of mind knowing my furry friend is in good hands with the photos and updates I get during my time away. They are professional, diligent, and most importantly, loving toward my pet as if it was their own. Overall, some of the best pet care I have received.

I can always tell after Jeanne or someone from Crockett’s Critter care, has visited because my dogs are happy and try to talk to me to tell me how much fun they have had. I love the photos they send, especially if I am out of town. The love she has for animals is amazing! Highly recommended!

We call Jeanne the “pet whisperer”. I don’t know how she does it (could it be the hot dogs??) but our dogs love her! She truly knows what our dogs are thinking and what they need and they actually listen to her! Jeanne is extremely reliable and trustworthy. I wish she would expand her business to include teenagers. 🙂

Jeanne has watched my dogs for going four years now and I would never ever use anyone else! She cares for my dogs just as much as I do and gives me lots of good advice for them. She is very experienced and like I said, I wouldn’t use anyone else!

Our Team

Every pet that I care for will always have a special place in my heart.
My first pets were a Rottweiler / Australian Shepherd mix named Bear and a Teddy Bear Hamster named Brownie. Now I have a houseful of pets: an English Bulldog (Goober), a Coonhound (Fraulein), 2 Chinchillas (Wookie and Baby Wookie), and a Leopard Gecko (Bessy).
There’s no better Psychiatrist than a puppy licking your face.
When I was about 5 years old we got Babe, a mixed breed Beagle from the “dog pound”. Now I have two pound hounds, Maggie, a mixed breed Husky and Nikki, a Chihuahua.
Happiness is a warm puppy. - Charles Schultz
I remember romping through the blue bonnet fields in TX with our boxer when I was less than 5 years old. My life just hasn’t been complete without a dog (or two) in the house since 1992; and they have all left their prints on my soul. Currently, I have a mixed breed named Chloe, who is loving life at 6 yrs. old.

A house is not a home without a dog.
I grew up with many dogs and the first one I adopted was a German Shephard/Great Dane mix, “Otis” named for his affinity for Otis Spunkmeyer cookies. He was a part of our family for 14 years and will never be forgotten. Now I have 2 adopted lab mixes, Wesco Abraham and Bootsie.
Every day with the pups is a good day.
I’m originally from Minnesota, but I moved all around the country and settled in New Bern in 2009. When I was four years old I got my first dog Sadie a Cocker Spaniel. Now I share my home with Lucy and Jack, Yorkshire Terriers and Schatzie a Yellow Labrador.
